Dear Stranger,
I don’t know specifically who this letter is for, but I know God has a message for you today. It is not a message to every person who reads this, but it will encourage the ones who it is for. That message starts with Psalm 143. That’s your cue to go read it before you continue on.
You have forgotten the “days of old” my friend and the things that He has done for you before. You have grown weary, and bitterness has tried to rear it’s ugly head. I know it’s been tough. There were times you didn’t even think you’d survive the pain. You’ve dealt with heartbreak and loss at a level that has been difficult for others to understand. But God understands. He never left your side. I know there’s been times that you felt alone. You asked if anyone saw you, if anyone heard you. The Lord did. This is His answer to your cry.
It’s time to fix your focus. Your eyes have strayed from His face, your heart from His presence. That is the very thing that you need right now more than anything. I know, I know there’s 1000 things to do, 1000 places to be, people who need you. But you can’t keep pouring from an empty cup. You think the people you’re pouring into aren’t noticing, but some do see. You need to put a stop to some of those activities so you can find the time to sit in His presence. The Lord wants to guide you, to show you the next step on your journey. He wants you to experience healing in His presence, joy in His presence, peace in His presence. But that requires you to stop for Him and to listen. Be still and know that He is God. And reflect on all the things He has done for you in the past. Look at how much you have grown. Look at how He has delivered you. He is the same God!
I know you’re tired. I know you’ve held fast to your faith despite the struggle. I know you’ve been knocked down by others’ expectations. But it’s time to get back up. It’s time to reignite the passion you once had for Him, the fire, the drive that kept you going. I realize that there are some who have held you back in that area, but the Lord says you will not be held back anymore. If you seek Him with your whole heart, you will be unstoppable in His Kingdom. Do not fear, for the Lord is with you. He will protect you. His hand is upon you.
Start recording the things God does for you. Whether that be in writing or audio, start storing each thing that He does. Each time He speaks, record it. Each time He acts, record it. Keep it in a safe place. You will need to reflect on these from time to time. The cost of your anointing is high. Because of that, you will face trials unlike what others face. It will be difficult for some to relate to what you’re going through, you’ve already experienced some of that. But there are others in the trial too. You’ve met a few. But right now the Lord wants you to seek Him and not man. He wants you to pursue your relationship with Him above any other relationship. Pursue Him with the same vigor that you once did. With the same passion and love. When you do, that will pour out of you without any effort. His love will radiate around you. It will touch more lives than you could ever imagine. But you have to be obedient. Heed this word, this warning. There are lives depending on your obedience. People that only you will be able to reach. But you cannot pour into them well without first being full of the Holy Spirit. Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you. You cannot give up now. Seek strength from Him. Call on His name. And get ready to shout the name of Jesus from the rooftops.
I’m praying for you, unknown person. Though I have a funny feeling right now that I do know you. But that’s for the Lord to work out. May the Lord continue to grant you His favor and His peace. Seek first the Kingdom of God.
